Casey Anthony – Poll numbers changing downward

Just an observation on my part, but when I first posted the poll, the percentage of individuals choosing First Degree Murder was much larger – over 53 percent.

It has slowly ticked downward over the past two weeks since the defense started presenting their case.

A lot of people still feel the defense has done a terrible job, but he must be at least raising some issues enough to have people choose lesser counts over the First Degree Murder charge.

Don’t get me wrong, I still feel she is guilty of MORE than just lying to police – but I absolutely feel she is not guilty of First Degree Murder – even though the jury might still find her guilty of that charge.

If there is a mistrial declared, the defense will be able to do a much better job in a retrial and she will probably not be found guilty of anything more than lying to police.

The prosecution has been playing some real dirty tricks, some which are very unethical, and it might just backfire on them.

  1. I agree the prosecution has played DIRTY, especially Jeff Ashton. This is not the first time and will not be the last. Back in 2009 he was accused by a witness for “foul play”. The witness said Jeff Ashton told her what to say and if she “cooperated” he would help her get a crime line reward. Also, other witnesses in the same trial said they were asked to identify the accused in a photo line up and if they picked the “wrong” person he would say ” no stupid, that’s not who everyone else is picking”. I guess that investigation is still going on because I cannot find out what happened. More than likely he got a slap on the wrist. He is such a PR*$K!!

    • Hi; I changed the last word in your comment – even though it might be appropriate as is, I thought it would not hurt to mask it. I am sure Ashton is a wolf in sheeps clothing but it is the defense’s job to prevent him from pulling the wool over the courtroom, judge, and jury. He comes across like a sleezy used car salesman.

Considering he gets first licks and then can rebut the defense case, first licks in closing arguements, and then a rebut after the defense closes – he should not be allowed any dirty tricks.
