Romney and Republicans playing three card Monte with Rape, Incest, and life of the mother.

Republicans are playing a game with abortion and if Romney wins the election, all abortion “will be outlawed” – including in cases of Rape (of any kind), Incest, and when the life of the mother is in danger.

Think of the whole women’s health and abortion issues like a company that is going through some tough times and they gather all the employees and tell them:

“We are having some cash flow problems and production quality control problems and as a result our sales are way down.  As a result, we might have to do a few of the following.

  1. Reduce company matching amount to your 401k.
  2. Raising your payroll contributions for health care.
  3. Eliminate health care discounts for weight control, not smoking, and using seat belts.

Employees were irate at the possibility of losing one or more of the above company benefits.

The company assured them they would work diligently at protecting all the perks and the employees left feeling better that the company had their best interests at heart.

Unfortunately, this fictitious company, just like Bain and Company did, closed the plant, all employees were terminated and lost their health care entirely, along with losing their pensions.  Needless to say, all the employees were shocked.

The employees asked the HR person why this happened and the company HR person said that the company decided to use the three benefit discussion to keep the employees focused on working hard.  Behind the scenes, the company was planning on closing the plant within the next month but chose to not tell the employees so that production levels would remain the same.  If employees were duped into focusing on the benefits, they would not focus on the rumors that were floating around that the plant might close.

The same holds true with Republicans and the abortion issue.

If the Republicans win, they will, within two years be in a position to appoint two to three conservatives to the Supreme Court.

When that happens, the court will EITHER overturn Roe v. Wade or the Republican Congress and the President will pass a Personhood amendment that will, in effect, trump abortion rights.

If anyone reading this does not know about the Republican proposal for a Personhood Amendment, click on the below link to find out.

Personhood is dangerous because all abortions will be outlawed – including the morning after pill.

Everyone is mistakenly focusing on the insulting ways a handful of Republicans are defining rape:

  1. Legitimate Rape.
  2. Forced Rape.
  3. Easy Rape.
  4. Gift from God Rape.
  5. Honest Rape.
  6. Emergency Rape.
  7. Enjoyable Rape.

Yes, all of the above have been labeled by Republicans at one point or another during this 2012 election period.

So, what is my point here?

I do not hear any women, or men for that matter, fighting for the protection of Roe v. Wade.  It seems like everyone has taken for granted that Roe v. Wade will eventually be overturned, so their collective focus is on protecting abortion rights in cases of rape, incest, and the life of the mother.

What is wrong about taking this position is that Republicans, including Ryan, the Republican V.P. Candidate, are already against all reasons for abortion.

Mitt Romney has stated that he wants to eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood.

Mitt Romney has stated that he is a Pro Life candidate and would overturn ObamaCare.

And lastly, Romney said he would sign a Personhood Amendment and that Amendment would trump Roe V. Wade and would outlaw all abortion – including the morning after pill.

So, stop focusing on the three “legitimate” reasons that you want protected for women who are considering terminating a pregnancy – focus instead on insuring Romney and Ryan do not get into the White House.

There are a handful of scary and dangerous candidates for the U.S. Senate that do not deserve to be U. S. Senators.

Focus on insuring these jerks are not elected.
