A prayer from the Sandy Hook 26

Don’t linger at our graves

for we are not there.

We are keeping busy –

oh, so very busy.

As you know,

God called us up

to be with Him –

a little earlier than

any of us expected.

He has given all of us

very special jobs –

He asked us to pray

and care for all

who remain on Earth.

We are above you

and all around you –

looking out for each of you.

We are the gentle breezes

helping snowflakes dance.

We are the raindrops

that gently touch your face.

We are the rays of sun

sent to brighten up your day.

So, please dry your tears

and replace them with smiles

for we are all okay

thanks to our Almighty Father.

Thanks also to all the love and

Prayers everyone has shown.

Amen.

  1. Kevin,
Nice job on the poem – I liked it very much. I hope that others will stop by and take the time to read it like I have. I think I will copy it and paste it in my Facebook. I even got tear eyed from reading it.

    • Thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked it.
